Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar is currently serving as a Professor
and Dean of School of Forensic Science, National Forensic Sciences University
(NFSU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Prof. Satish Kumar is also holding Charge of NFSU
Bhopal campus. He has been serving NFSU (erstwhile GFSU) since 2013. After
completing PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, he worked as a
Guest Scientist at Max-Planck Unit of Structural and Molecular Biology,
Hamburg, and Max-Planck Institute of Neurological Research Cologne, Germany.
Over the period of 15 years in academic and research, Prof.
Kumar has 26 research publications in highly reputed journals along with 1 book
and 2 book chapters in his credit. Contributor of several policy documents for
the Government of India, Prof. Satish Kumar’s h-index is 14 with over 2500
citations. Prof. Kumar is recipient of prestigious fellowships like, Ministry
of Human Resource Fellowship (Govt. of India), and Max-Planck Fellowship,
Germany.
Prof. Satish Kumar is a member of various national and
international scientific societies along with members of different academic and
administrative committees across India. Prof. Kumar also served as an expert
and advisor to national and state-level selection committees.
