NFSU Bhopal is an off-site campus of National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an Institution of National Importance under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, which was established in 2009 as the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU) by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modiji, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat with a sole objective of creating professional experts in the field of Forensic sciences. Based on its remarkable contribution to forensic allied sciences, GFSU was elevated as an Institute of National Importance with the new identity called National Forensic Sciences University by the Government of India through Act, 2020 (32 of 2020) with the objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against the increasing demand for forensic experts in the country and around the world.
